Love of my Life

I was really in a reminiscent mood the other day as I was looking at my old dating pictures and my high school annual’s cheerleading and basketball pictures. It’s hard to believe so many years have passed.

I do remember the first time I ever saw my husband—I still get goose bumps. He had a 34-inch waist, really broad shoulders, ducktail hair—most of you don’t know what that is, but Elvis had them—white buckskin shoes, and he drove a blue Plymouth convertible.

I thought God had driven into Dawson, Ga.!

And he thought God had driven into Dawson also!

That was four children, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren ago. We really laugh at how far God has brought us; a long, long, way.

For those of you who are young at marriage or even contemplating it, you have no earthly clue what is in store for you, but God does. You just need to trust Him and tighten your seatbelts, because you are in for the ride of your life!
